Government officials in Paktia said three workers belonging to a police district of Gardez city were killed on Tuesday morning in a gunmen attack in the Rabat area.
A spokesman for the Paktia Police HQ said that a policeman, a cook, and a driver of the fourth police district in Gardez city were among the victims.
Meanwhile, security sources in Kapisa confirmed that three Afghan national defense and security force members were killed in a clash with the Taliban militants.
Abdul Latif Murad, Kapisa’s governor told the media that the soldiers were killed in a Taliban ambush in the Afghan area of Nijrab district.
Taliban have claimed responsibility for the attack, saying they have killed the ANDSF members and captured one another.
Taliban spokesman, Zabiullah Mujahid also claimed that a large number of weapons and ammunition were also seized by the group but Murad denied the allegations.
In a separate incident in Ghor province, a roadside bomb blast in the Dawlatyar district of the province has killed and injured four security personnel.
Mohammad Musa Kaleem, district governor to Ghor said that an armored security humvee vehicle hit a roadside mine in the north of the district on Monday evening, killing one security force member and wounding three others.
Moreover, in Kabul, a welder named Fazel Karim was killed by unknown gunmen in the Qala-e-Kashif Area of PD5, suspects at large.
