3 BCL men held on charge of firing on protesters in Brahmanbaria

Three Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) members were arrested in connection with attacking and firing on protesters during the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement in Brahmanbaria on August 4-5. The arrests were made by Rapid Action Battalion and police in separate operations. The suspects include a district unit organizing secretary and two other local BCL leaders. They were arrested as part of a case filed on August 22 against 53 former and current BCL members. Legal proceedings are underway to present them in court.READ FULL
