5,619 students killed in road crashes in 5 years

The Road Safety Foundation reports that 5,619 students were killed in road crashes in Bangladesh from 2019 to June 2024, accounting for 16.29% of all road crash victims. Nearly half were motorcyclists or passengers. The foundation revealed this data on the anniversary of the 2011 Mirsharai Tragedy.
