8 killed after Beryl sweeps across US
Storm Beryl, initially a Category 1 hurricane, has killed at least eight people in the southern United States, primarily in Texas and Louisiana. It caused widespread power outages affecting millions in the Houston area amid dangerously high temperatures. The storm, now downgraded to a post-tropical cyclone, previously caused at least 10 deaths in the Caribbean.
