Partial solar eclipse to cross swathe of Northern Hemisphere

A partial solar eclipse will be visible across the Northern Hemisphere on Saturday, lasting from 0850 GMT to 1243 GMT. The Moon will cover up to 90% of the Sun’s disc, with northeastern Canada and Greenland getting the best view. Skygazers in Europe, parts of northeastern North America, and northwest Africa can witness the event using proper eye protection.
