Israel says Biden threat to stop arms ‘very disappointing’

Israel’s UN ambassador expressed disappointment at US President Joe Biden’s threat to stop supplying certain offensive weapons to Israel if it invades the crowded Gaza city of Rafah. Biden warned that civilians have been killed by Israeli bombs in Gaza, calling it “wrong.” The ambassador said Biden’s comments give hope to Israel’s enemies and questioned how Israel can achieve its goals if restricted from entering areas like Rafah with Hamas militants.
