5.6-magnitude quake rattles southern Philippines

A 5.6 magnitude earthquake occurred off Mindanao island in the southern Philippines on Wednesday, according to the USGS. The quake had a depth of 30 kilometers, with its epicenter 43 kilometers southwest of Maitum town. Local authorities, including Maitum fire official Gilbert Rolifor, reported no significant damage or casualties.
