“Dangerous New Arms Race”: Report Says China Added 100 New Warheads In 2 Years
China’s nuclear arsenal has grown to 600 warheads, adding 100 in 2023-2024, according to SIPRI’s annual report. The Stockholm-based think tank warns of a “dangerous new nuclear arms race” as nearly all nine nuclear-armed states continue modernization programs.
