Cyclone Remal: Firefighter dies of electrocution while removing trees in Khagrachhari

A 21-year-old firefighter, Rasel Hossain, lost his life after being electrocuted while clearing uprooted trees caused by Cyclone Remal in Khagrachhari’s Matiranga upazila. The tragic incident occurred when electricity supply resumed suddenly, and Rasel came in contact with a torn wire. He joined the Fire Service and Civil Defence in 2023 and hailed from Dhaka’s Dhamrai upazila.
