Traders aggrieved over customs harassment in export-import trade
Businesses have expressed grievances over alleged harassment by customs officials and unwarranted delays in export-import trade clearance, leading to financial penalties, additional costs, and disruptions in production and shipments. During a meeting with the Prime Minister, business leaders urged for measures to address corruption and harassment by customs officials, and sought cooperation from the National Board of Revenue to facilitate smooth trade operations.
