BGB Chief orders heightened vigilance along the Myanmar border

The Director General of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB), Major General Mohammad Ashrafuzzaman Siddiqui, has instructed BGB members to remain vigilant along the Myanmar border due to recent unrest in the area. During his visit to Saint Martin’s Island and the southeastern border region adjacent to Myanmar, he emphasized preparedness to handle any potential situation. He appreciated the BGB personnel’s efficient performance on the remote island and provided directives on operational, training, and administrative matters to maintain the country’s sovereignty and border security.
