Govt to retrieve allowance with interest from fake freedom fighters

The Bangladesh government will retrieve allowances along with interest from around 8,000 people who fraudulently obtained freedom fighter certificates and allowances. Legal action will also be taken against them. The move comes after the parliamentary committee’s recommendation to cancel fake freedom fighter certificates and recover the misappropriated funds.
