Khaleda admitted to hospital after she falls ill

Former Bangladesh Prime Minister Khaleda Zia, 79, was admitted to Evercare Hospital’s CCU at 3:30am on doctors’ advice. She has been battling multiple health issues, including liver cirrhosis, arthritis, and diabetes. Since her conditional release from prison in 2020, Khaleda has received frequent medical care at the hospital. Her doctors have been recommending treatment abroad since her liver cirrhosis diagnosis in 2021.
