PM urges ADB to help Bangladesh implement blue economy

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina met with ADB Vice President Yingming Yang, seeking support for Bangladesh’s blue economy, agricultural research, and post-LDC export competitiveness. Hasina emphasized food security and increasing per capita income. The ADB plans to double its support for urban and water policy projects and assist with health, digital technology, and agricultural research. They also discussed developing a city master plan and supporting primary education and healthcare skills development in their new five-year plan. UNB
