Demiral double sends Turkey into Euro 2024 quarters at Austria’s expense

Turkey advanced to the Euro 2024 quarter-finals with a 2-1 victory over Austria. Merih Demiral scored both goals for Turkey, opening the scoring in the first minute and adding another in the 60th. Michael Gregoritsch pulled one back for Austria, but Turkey held on thanks to a stunning late save by goalkeeper Mert Gunok. Turkey will face the Netherlands in the quarter-finals on Saturday in Berlin. AFP
