BNP leader stabbed on way to rally

BNP leaders in Natore and Patuakhali were attacked, allegedly by ruling Awami League members, while attending rallies demanding the release of party chairperson Khaleda Zia. In Natore, acting convener Shahidul Islam Bachchu was stabbed and several others injured. In Patuakhali, five BNP activists were assaulted. BNP claims AL members were responsible, while AL denies involvement, suggesting internal BNP conflicts. Police are investigating the incidents and promise action if cases are filed. Daily Star
