India’s top court grants interim bail to Arvind Kejriwal

By Redoy K

The Supreme Court granted interim bail to Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in the excise policy case. The court referred his petition challenging the ED arrest to a larger bench. Kejriwal’s lawyers called it a significant victory. The court noted Kejriwal’s 90-day incarceration and his status as an elected leader. However, he remains in custody due to a pending CBI case. Kejriwal had appealed against his arrest, claiming political vendetta, but the High Court previously dismissed his plea. ANI
