9 new High Court judges take oath

Nine new judges were sworn in to the High Court Division of Bangladesh’s Supreme Court on Tuesday. Chief Justice Obaidul Hassan administered the oath at the Supreme Court’s Judges’ Lounge. The judges, previously serving as additional justices, were appointed by President Mohammed Shahabuddin. The new appointees are Justices Mohammad Showkat Ali Chowdhury, Md Atabullah, Biswajit Debnath, Md Ali Reza, Md Bazlur Rahman, KM Emrul Kayesh, Fahmida Quader, Md Bashir Ullah, and AKM Rabiul Hassan.
