Md Mainul Islam appointed IGP

Md Mainul Islam, former commandant of Traffic and Driving School, has been appointed as the new Inspector General of Bangladesh Police (IGP). The appointment was made through a circular issued by the Public Security division of the Home Ministry. Simultaneously, the contractual appointment of previous IGP Chowdhury Abdullah Al Mamun, who had held the position since September 21, 2022, was canceled.
