Afghanistan cricket board bans Ihsanullah Janat over corruption

Afghanistan’s cricket board banned former international batter Ihsanullah Janat for five years due to corrupt activities in a domestic league. Three other players are under investigation. Janat, 26, admitted to the charges. The ban is effective immediately. This comes as Afghanistan’s cricket team has been making significant progress internationally, including impressive performances in recent World Cup tournaments. Source AFP
