Rajshahi’s Star Cineplex looted, vandalised

The Rajshahi branch of Star Cineplex, located in Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Hi-Tech Park, was vandalized by unknown attackers on August 7. Star Cineplex Chairman Mahboob Rahman Ruhel confirmed the incident, stating that the entire establishment was damaged. The attackers initially intended to set fire to the building but were dissuaded by the caretaker. Ruhel also reported that his ancestral home and Sayeman resort in Cox’s Bazar were attacked, though he is currently safe. Daily Star
