30-40 inmates escape Kushtia jail

Around 30-40 inmates escaped from Kushtia District Jail in Bangladesh at approximately 2:00pm today. Witnesses reported seeing inmates fleeing, some on motorcycles. The army has since taken control of the prison and dispersed gathered crowds. The escape reportedly occurred when some inmates were being released for court dates.
