Morata, Rodri banned for ‘Gibraltar is Spanish’ chant

Spanish footballers Alvaro Morata and Rodri have been suspended for one match by UEFA for singing “Gibraltar is Spanish” during the Euro 2024 trophy presentation in Madrid. The incident occurred after Spain’s victory over England in the final. UEFA’s disciplinary committee cited the players for violating basic decency rules and using a sporting event for non-sporting demands.
