Dengue: 334 hospitalised in a day

Bangladesh is experiencing a surge in dengue cases, with 334 new patients hospitalized in the last 24 hours, according to the Directorate General of Health Services. Of these, 214 cases are from outside Dhaka. Currently, 992 dengue patients are receiving treatment, including 406 from areas outside the capital. Since the beginning of 2024, the country has reported 74 dengue-related deaths. The outbreak appears to be affecting both urban and rural areas significantly. Daily Star
