Tipu Munshi arrested from Gulshan

Former commerce minister Tipu Munshi has been arrested by the Rapid Action Battalion in Dhaka’s Gulshan area. The arrest is linked to a case filed over the killing of a worker during protests in Rangpur on July 19. The case, filed by the victim’s wife, names 17 accused including the Jatiya Sangsad Speaker. Earlier, the Bangladesh Financial Intelligence Unit had ordered banks to freeze Munshi’s and his family’s accounts for 30 days. READ FULL
