RSF condemns charges of crimes against humanity brought against 25 journalists

Reporters Without Borders (RSF) has condemned charges of crimes against humanity brought against at least 25 journalists in Bangladesh. The organization urges the interim government to stop targeting journalists affiliated with the former government and release those detained. The charges, filed on August 29, relate to a protester’s death in July. RSF calls for the immediate release of detained journalists Farzana Rupa and Shakil Ahmed, and for all charges to be dropped, describing the situation as systematic judicial harassment of media professionals.READ FULL
