Polio vaccine campaign begins in Gaza: health official

A polio vaccination campaign has begun in Gaza Strip, with UN-announced “humanitarian pauses” to facilitate large-scale immunization. The campaign aims to vaccinate over 640,000 children aged 0-10 years, following the first polio case in Gaza in 25 years. Israel has agreed to three-day pauses in different areas to allow vaccinations. WHO has sent 1.26 million oral vaccine doses, with 159 vaccination centers identified across Gaza.
