17 bodies found after Kamchatka helicopter crash
A helicopter crash in Russia’s Kamchatka peninsula has resulted in 17 fatalities, with rescuers discovering the bodies on Sunday. The Mi-8 helicopter, carrying 19 tourists and 3 crew members, went missing shortly after takeoff on Saturday. The wreckage was found at a height of 900 meters in a hilly area. Kamchatka, known for its adventure tourism, has a history of aviation accidents. The search operation has been temporarily halted until daybreak.
