SMA Faiz appointed new UGC Chairman

Professor S M A Faiz, former Vice-Chancellor of Dhaka University, has been appointed as the new Chairman of the University Grants Commission (UGC). The Ministry of Education announced this appointment in a notification on Thursday. The previous UGC Chairman, Professor Kazi Shahidullah, resigned last month due to health issues. Following his resignation, Professor Muhammad Alamgir, a full-time member of UGC, was given the additional responsibility of acting Chairman until this new appointment was made.READ FULL
