Brokers request reviewing DSE independent director appointment
The DSE Brokers Association (DBA) has urged the Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC) to reconsider its appointment of seven independent directors to the Dhaka Stock Exchange. The DBA suggests using clause 24 of the Demutualization Act 2013 to form a nomination committee comprising elected directors. This approach, they argue, would create a more investor-friendly market and allow the DSE greater independence in nominating candidates.
