Japan pledges $1m in aid for Bangladesh flood relief

Japan has pledged $1 million in aid for flood-affected regions in Bangladesh, to be distributed through UNHCR and UNICEF. Japanese Ambassador Iwama Kiminori announced this on Facebook, expressing sympathy for flood victims. Previously, Japan provided $2 million through NGOs and local Japanese associations donated Tk200,000 to the Bangladesh Red Crescent Society.
