US diplomat stresses support for Bangladesh’s democratic transition

US Deputy Secretary of State Richard Verma stressed the importance of supporting a democratic transition in Bangladesh. Speaking at the Hudson Institute, he said the timing of elections and interim government duration are for Bangladeshis to decide.
