Murder of teacher: Key suspect arrested in Bagerhat

The Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) has arrested Mohammad Joni Sheikh, the prime suspect in the murder of retired schoolteacher Mrinal Kanti Chatterjee in Bagerhat’s Sadar upazila. The crime occurred on August 5, when assailants broke into Mrinal’s home, killing him and severely injuring his wife and daughter. The suspects also looted valuables before fleeing. Joni Sheikh was apprehended in Fakirhat upazila and handed over to the police. A case was filed on August 18 against multiple suspects.READ FULL
