Two Myanmar nationals arrested with 10kg gold in Cox’s Bazar
Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) arrested two Myanmar citizens in Teknaf, Cox’s Bazar, with 10kg of gold ornaments valued at Tk 11.52 crore (approximately $10.5 million USD). The suspects, Hafizur Rahman (24) and Anwar (30), both from Maungdaw township in Myanmar, were apprehended in the Aliabad area of Teknaf municipality on Monday. Lieutenant Colonel Mohiuddin Ahmed, commanding officer of Teknaf-2 BGB, reported that the arrest was made based on information about smuggling activities in the area.READ FULL
