Metro launches Friday operations

Dhaka Metro Rail launched its Friday service yesterday, operating from 3:30pm to 9:40pm. Trains will run between Uttara North Station and Motijheel. The Kazipara station reopened after being damaged during the July quota reform protests, which led to the government’s ouster. However, the Mirpur-10 station remains closed with no reopening date announced. The metro resumed operations on August 25 following political changes, but these two stations had remained closed.
