Ex-IGP Mamun on 4-day remand in murder case

Former Inspector General of Police Chowdhury Abdullah Al-Mamun has been placed on a four-day remand by a Dhaka court in connection with the death of 16-year-old Mohammad Ismamul Haque during August protests. The victim’s brother filed a murder case against 27 individuals, including former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. Mamun, arrested on September 3, claims innocence.
