Arakan Army returns 5 Bangladeshi fishermen taken from Naf River

Five Bangladeshi fishermen who were taken by Myanmar’s Arakan Army from Shah Porir Island estuary in Teknaf, Cox’s Bazar, have been safely returned to Bangladesh. The Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) received the fishermen at Jaliapara Jetty Ghat on Wednesday afternoon. The incident occurred on Tuesday, and the return was facilitated through communication with relevant parties in Myanmar, where the Arakan Army currently maintains control due to ongoing conflict.
