Meta unveils AI tie-up with horror movie producers

Meta has partnered with horror film company Blumhouse to test its new AI video tool, Movie Gen. The tool, set for public release next year, can create 16-second videos with sound from prompts or photos. Oscar-winner Casey Affleck praised it as a collaborator rather than just a tool. Despite concerns in Hollywood about AI replacing creative roles, Blumhouse founder Jason Blum welcomed the opportunity to test the program.
