Prolonged Standing Poses Circulatory Health Risks, Study Suggests
A University of Sydney study challenges the health benefits of standing desks. Research involving 80,000 UK adults suggests standing for extended periods doesn’t reduce heart disease or stroke risk and may increase circulatory problems. Standing for more than two hours daily showed no heart health improvements, with each additional 30 minutes increasing circulatory disease risk by 11%.
