Four security force members were killed and one more was wounded in a roadside bomb blast in Badghis province on Wednesday evening, the provincial governor Hasamuddin Shams said.
The incident happened in Aab Kamari district of the province when a police vehicle was targeted by a roadside bomb blast, Shams said.
No group including the Talibah has claimed reasonability for the blast.
The provincial governor said that a military operation is ongoing in the district in the past three days in which five Taliban were killed and seven more were wounded.
The operation has been launched to eliminate the Taliban threats and create new security checkpoints in the district, he added.
