AI tool aims to help conserve Japan’s cherry trees
A new AI application called Sakura AI Camera, developed by Kirin, helps assess the health of Japan’s aging cherry trees from smartphone photos. The tool rates trees on a five-point scale from “very healthy” to “worrying” and maps their conditions online. With many trees reaching 70-80 years old and replacement costs around one million yen ($6,800) each, the free data will help authorities plan conservation efforts amid climate challenges.READ FULL
