AL leader Mannafi, 19 others sued over custodial death
A case has been filed against 20 people, including Dhaka South City Awami League president Abu Ahmed Mannafi, over the alleged 2018 crossfire death of Rakib Hawlader. Rakib’s mother, Rita Akter, filed the case under the torture and custodial death prevention act. The court has ordered the Criminal Investigation Department to probe the allegations.
