Ambassador Muhit elected as UNGA 2nd committee chair

Bangladesh’s Permanent Representative to the UN, Ambassador Muhammad Abdul Muhith, has been unanimously elected as the Chair of the Second Committee of the 79th UN General Assembly. The Second Committee addresses economic, financial, and environmental affairs. Muhith called it a recognition of Bangladesh’s sustainable development success under PM Hasina’s leadership and the trust Bangladesh enjoys globally.
