Around 100 villages flooded in Sherpur
Heavy rainfall and upstream runoff have flooded around 100 villages in Sherpur, Bangladesh, affecting Jhenaigati and Nalitabari upazilas. The district recorded 225 mm of rain in 24 hours, submerging offices, schools, and markets. Thousands are stranded as rivers overflow. The Bhogai and Chellakhali rivers are well above danger levels.
