Around 800 tourists stuck in Sajek due to flash floods

Heavy rains and flash floods in Rangamati have stranded about 800 tourists in Sajek, as the Baghaihat-Sajek road is submerged. Vehicular movement on the Rangamati-Khagrachhari road has also been disrupted due to landslides and waterlogging. Local officials report that low-lying areas in Baghaichhari are flooded from upstream water. The situation is expected to improve only after water levels recede.
