Awami League leader, his aide hacked, shot dead in Chapainawabganj

In Chapainawabganj’s Shibganj upazila, local Awami League leader Abdus Salam and his aide Abdul Matin Ali were killed in an attack by miscreants on Thursday night. Two others were injured. The attack, involving crude bombs and gunfire, occurred near Ranihati Degree College. Police suspect a long-standing rivalry between local groups as the motive.
