Bangladesh women’s football team to play World Cup Qualifiers directly

The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) has introduced a new qualifying format for the 2031 FIFA Women’s World Cup, allowing Bangladesh’s women’s team to compete directly in the qualifiers. The new system includes a three-round preliminary competition starting in 2027. This standalone competition will provide lower-ranked teams more opportunities to play against higher-ranked sides.
