BFIU freezes bank accounts of Taposh, family

The Bangladesh Financial Intelligence Unit (BFIU) has ordered banks to freeze the accounts of former Dhaka South City Corporation Mayor Sheikh Fazle Noor Taposh, along with those of his wife and son, and their associated private entities. The anti-money laundering agency has issued this directive to all banks and financial institutions across the country. The freeze will remain in effect for 30 days, with the possibility of an extension if necessary.READ FULL
