Biden says nobody ‘more qualified’ to win election than him

Iranians voted in a presidential run-off election between moderate Masoud Pezeshkian and hardliner Saeed Jalili. The election follows a first round with historically low turnout, with over 60% of voters abstaining. This vote tests the clerical rulers’ popularity amid voter apathy and regional tensions. The outcome, expected today, is unlikely to significantly change Iran’s policies but will influence the selection of the next Supreme Leader. Ayatollah Khamenei downplayed the low turnout’s significance.  Source:Daily Star
