Cantonments not sheltering any foreign mission personnel: ISPR

ISPR announced that no foreign mission personnel are currently residing in Bangladesh’s cantonments. During recent political unrest, the army provided security for diplomatic areas and embassies in Dhaka. At the Indian High Commission’s request, only civilian members were sheltered in military cantonments. Some foreign personnel stayed at consulates and hotels. Russian experts at Rooppur Nuclear Power Plant received security. The army has informed the relevant ministry about these arrangements. UNB
